The FirstSpear Assaulter Armor Carrier (AAC) keeps weight to an absolute minimum while maintaining true mission flexibility. It has minimal padding on the shoulder straps which helps it keep a streamlined profile. It is backed with an unpadded water-resistant nylon mesh. Its design can quickly shed water and aid in the transition from over-the-beach to over-the-hills.
How to Choose your Cummerbund
The Overlap Cummerbund attaches to the rear of the vest in the traditional way; with adjustable velcro and elastic. The front closes with Tubes fasteners. Sizing is adjustable, but only by re-setting the velcro under the rear flap of the carrier.
The Adaptive Cummerbund allows you to quickly swap between land and maritime cummerbunds; or change the size of your vest to wear over bulky garments without the hassle of re-adjusting your velcro set-up each time. Instead of attaching to the rear of the plate carrier with velcro; this cummerbund features a Tubes connector on the front and the back. The rear Tube can be moved from one attachment to the other as the mission dictates.
Level IIIA Soft Armor Inserts can be added inside either of these cummerbunds (sold separately).

Maximizing the lightweight 6/12 technology and rapid closure systems provided by the Tubes, the AAC can be rapidly donned or doffed. On the exterior of the front panel, rear panel, and cummerbund; a field of 6/12 allows for easy pocket attachment.

The FirstSpear 6/12™ technology eliminates the webbing and stitching components of traditional modular load bearing designs. The 6/12 platform will work with any MOLLE pockets (just like any other laser-cut MOLLE), but the 6/12 pouches will only mount to 6/12 Platform. The 6/12™ Pocket Attachment System uses state of the art fabric technologies to deliver a completely modular system. This system achieves a 20%-40% reduction in weight per standard Assaulter configuration when compared to traditional MOLLE pockets.
