Velocity Systems SCARAB LE Plate Carrier

The Velocity Systems SCARAB™ LE features patented swivel shoulder straps that alleviate common fit issues with traditional fixed angle shoulder straps (US Patent No. 9,894,962). The narrow ULTRAcomp™ shoulder straps articulate on a D-ring allowing them to sit correctly and comfortably on any user, regardless of neck thickness or shoulder broadness. 

The ULTRAcomp™ Shoulder Straps are adjustable for length and have a padded sleeve that can also be used for cable routing. 

The front lower half of the SCARAB™ LE has an integrated flat kangaroo pouch with a removable front flap and three rows of loop MOLLE webbing. The chest has an admin pouch with two rows of MOLLE webbing and Velocity Systems SwiftClip® Attachment System for rapid don/doff of auxiliary chest worn equipment (Chest Rigs & SwiftClip® Placards). 

The back of the SCARAB™ LE has a color matching loop panel and a drag handle at the top and four rows of MOLLE webbing at the bottom.

The SCARAB™ is sized to hold plates of corresponding sizes to the carrier, for example a size large carrier holds size large SAPI Plates. The rule or thumb for sizing is to order the plate size to match the plates that will ride inside and the cummerbund to match the size of the human who will wear it. 

Cummerbund Sizing

NOTE: A shorter column cummerbund is necessary to utilize the Quarter Flaps.

To increase the modularity of the SCARAB™ there are four (4) cummerbund options: SCARAB™ Light Cummerbund, Low-Profile Elastic Cummerbund (CBN1), Low Profile Elastic Cummerbund with Dividers (CBN1D), and MOLLE Plate Pocket Cummerbund (CBN3).

The SCARAB™ Cummerbund attaches with an innovative Velcro® One-Wrap® finger system that slides inside the "button holes" on the rear of the SCARAB™ plate carrier. It affixes securely to the interior wall of the rear plate pocket. 1” of multi-layer elastic is built into each cummerbund finger to give stretchy comfort. 

Each finger can independently be let in or out of the plate bag to accommodate different sized users; and the fingers can be angled for correct armor placement (excess One-Wrap® can be trimmed with scissors).
